The Japanese lens manufacturer Tamron has announced a new travel zoom lens. According to the announcement, the model A071 is designed for mirrorless full-frame cameras with Sony E-Mount. The launch is scheduled for June 25, 2020, with the company pointing out that due to the corona pandemic, postponements are possible.

High resolution values, quiet focusing noises and waterproof
Due to the compact design and the low weight, the lens is particularly suitable for everyday life and travel as well as for sports and nature photography. Special lenses such as GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), LD (Low Dispersion) and hybrid aspheres are designed to minimize optical image errors and enable high resolution values. The lens surfaces are provided with a coating against reflections.
In addition, the lens is equipped with an auto focus system and a stepper motor. The focusing noises are quiet and would hardly disturb video recordings.
The critical points on the lens housing are sealed against moisture and splash water so that you can take pictures even in adverse weather.

According to “Photo internal“the recommended retail price for the lens model A071 in Switzerland is CHF 1,100. The delivery time after receipt of the order is approximately three weeks.
