T-Mobile gains 55,000 mobile customers – IT Pro – News

T-Mobile gained 55,000 mobile customers last quarter. This is evident from the quarterly figures of the provider. There are now 5.7 million mobile customers, of which 5.3 million have a subscription.

Those subscribers pay an average of 16 euros per month to T-Mobile for the subscription, according to the quarterly figures from T-Mobile in that of parent company Deutsche Telekom. Prepaid users pay an average of 2 euros per month. Those amounts have been declining for years. In 2017, subscribers paid an average of 25 euros per month.

The number of fixed internet customers increased by 12,000 to 644,000. A year ago, T-Mobile had 578,000 customers with a fixed subscription in the Netherlands. T-Mobile does not say how many customers combine mobile and fixed services. Just like competitors KPN and VodafoneZiggo, the provider gives customers an advantage if they combine a mobile and fixed subscription.

Sales amounted to 480 million, an increase of about 5 percent. Gross profit or EBITDA after lease amounted to € 143 million, a growth of 22 percent. According to the provider, this relatively large growth is due to lower indirect costs and commercial growth.
