It was just before 1pm on Thursday in a housing estate in the Swiss city of St. Gallen that the absurd incident occurred, according to a local police press release.
I got out of the car with the engine running
A woman had stopped her car on a gentle slope. The car’s engine was running when she got out of the car, probably to unload something, according to police.
– The car rolled backwards on the ground, the 45-year-old then stopped behind the car and tried to stop it. After a few meters she fell and was hit by the vehicle, reports the St. Gallen police in the press release.

But his misfortune didn’t stop there. After the car rolled back for about 40 meters, she collided with a parked car.

Hit a third time
When the car then hit a curb, it started rolling backwards again.

The car finally stopped when it collided with a wooden fence. The woman was seriously injured and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The police did not disclose what kind of injuries she suffered.
