Protests against the falsification of the results of the August 9 presidential elections continue in Belarus.

According to official results, the current head of state Alexander Lukashenko won 80.1% of the vote, while opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovska only 10.1%.

However, the opposition has stated that the results are falsified on the basis of evidence of unprecedented violations.
