The cult British show “Spitting Image” returns to TV and introduces two new puppets: Meghan and Harry

The satire show Spitting Image, which means “spitting image” in French, is the British equivalent of News Guignols. After 24 years of absence, the cult program returns and puts the Sussex in the spotlight for this new season. Social and political satire has introduced its new characters in which we find Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Kanye West but also Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The young couple who decided to leave his royal office, will make a final appearance in England on March 5 for the Endeavor Fund Awards. After performing his latest engagements, they will officially leave the royal family on March 31. But if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer be present on British territory they will nevertheless remain on TV thanks to Spitting Image.

The creators of the British satirical program explained their return and their intentions “With a world becoming smaller and more turbulent, the timing could not be more appropriate for a satirical and British interpretation of world events” they said. The new season of Spitting Image, will be broadcast this fall on the Britbox subscription platform.
