According to Correio da Manhã, citing the German newspaper Bild, the authorities believe that the German suspected of Maddie’s abduction may also be linked to the disappearance and death of 9-year-old Peggy Knobloch.
Authorities are investigating the hypothesis that Christian has been traveling in Europe and has claimed several victims. The German suspect is still being investigated for the disappearance of Inga, 5, and René, 6.
According to the same source, the girl disappeared in Bavaria on May 5, 2001, on her way home from school, and the case became known as one of Germany’s greatest mysteries. Peggy’s remains were found fifteen years later, on July 2, 2016, in a forest in Thuringia, in the same country.
