A month after surprisingly leaving BTV after 11 years of experience in the media, Biliana Gavazova has taken a new professional direction. The journalist shared that she played the role of a teacher at the Sofia University 111 “Mikhail Arnaudov”.
The former TV presenter taught the seventh graders there at the invitation of the school management. Her goal was to pass on her life experience, to help them navigate their career choices, and to share the secrets of journalism and television with high school students. The students were impressed by her charisma and wished the school principal Biliana to remain their teacher permanently, Retro writes.
It is possible that Gavazova will completely change her role and retrain from a journalist to a teacher. Two of her close colleagues, who left BTV shortly before her, were already heading in the same direction.
For a year now, the former head of television news, Venelin Petkov, has been a teacher at one of the most expensive and elite private schools in Sofia. There he teaches children between grades I and V, teaching only in English, and the subject for which he is responsible is “Global Perspectives” and is not present in the standard curricula of public schools.
His former burnout and colleague – Gena Traykova, also found realization after his mysterious dismissal from television in a similar direction. For months, the former editor-in-chief of BTV news has been lecturing to people of different sexual orientations of all ages at the Sofia Foundation.
