Pushed towards the exit by FC Barcelona, Luis Suarez is about to find a new luxury challenge. Juventus have indeed targeted the Uruguayan striker to strengthen their attacking sector after abandoning the track leading to Edin Dzeko. But the transfer of the former Liverpool idol still remains on three conditions according to Sky Sport Italy.
Suarez expects a big check from Barça
The first is to wait until the player is released from his contract by FC Barcelona. But Suarez won’t leave under any conditions. He expects a substantial severance pay, estimated at 25 million euros, from the Catalan club. This is the second condition for joining the Old Lady. The third and last condition is quite simple: it consists, for the player, in accepting a reduction in salary compared to the one he receives in Catalonia. According to the Italian press, Suarez receives 12 million euros + 5 bonus per year.
He would agree on the last point. But he does not want to compromise on the severance pay from Barça, where he is under contract until 2021. The Catalan club, for its part, wishes to pay an amount below these expectations. the solution could come from Juventus who could pay some bonuses to Barça as part of this transfer. The two clubs have an excellent relationship and could come to an agreement in some sort of disguised compensation.
The exchanges between Juventus and the Suarez clan would be fruitful and should allow an agreement to be reached on the last point concerning the salary. A transfer therefore seems possible. In a few weeks, Suarez could therefore become Giorgio Chiellini’s teammate, which he bit on the shoulder during the 2014 World Cup.
