One person student was found dead in his boarding room in Semarang. When found, the condition of the room was locked from the inside and the victim was foaming at the mouth.
The incident took place at a boarding house on Jalan Kijang Utara, Gayamsari, Semarang City. The boarding house neighbor and the guard broke the glass to open the locked door from the inside.
“The boarding house called a handyman, then he broke the glass to open the door. The key was stuck to the door from the inside,” said his roommate, Beatrice, as quoted by Antara. detikJatengTuesday (22/8/2023).
Meanwhile, Gayamsari Police Chief Commissioner Hengky Prasetyo said three witnesses had been examined in the incident. No signs of violence were found and liquid medicine in a bottle was found near the victim and there was also an empty alcohol bottle.
“The situation was locked from the inside, there was an attempt by his friends to break into it. We came and checked, he was dead, stiff. There were no signs of violence. There were drugs, bottles of alcohol, that’s all for cigarettes,” said Hengky.
They are continuing their investigation and have contacted the family. The activities of the victims in Klaten are also being investigated. The body is currently being taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Semarang.
“We have contacted the family in Jakarta. She is a final semester student in Jakarta. She is still a student teacher. We are investigating,” explained Hengky.
