Student arrested for carrying guns to the Bronx School – NBC New York

NEW YORK – A 16-year-old boy is under arrest after attempting to sneak a loaded gun into a Bronx high school, according to police.

Police said it happened around 9 am Wednesday in the former John F Kennedy HS school complex, located in the Marble Hill section.

The high school, which closed in 2014, is now home to several smaller specialist schools.

Authorities indicated that the student, who already has a criminal record, was found with a weapon in his backpack during the scan.

Following the discovery, he was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and carrying a weapon on school property.

No details were released as to whether he had a lawyer. Her identity was also not revealed because she was a minor.
