The wind can reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour in gusts and rains up to 30 millimeters in a short period of time. Hail is not excluded.

The warnings were issued by meteorologists for Prague, Central Bohemia, South Bohemia, Plzeň, Hradec Králové, Pardubice region and also Vysočina. Thunderstorms can also strike in the South Moravian, Olomouc, Zlín and Moravian-Silesian regions. The warning does not apply to only three regions.

“Locally, torrential rain is expected with a unique distribution of small streams, flooding of underpasses, underpasses, cellars and the like,” experts described. Branches or trees, hail and lightning can also be dangerous.

People should beware of falling or flying objects and possible lightning strikes. Drivers should slow down and drive very carefully. Meteorologists also recommend securing various things in the garden so that they do not fly and injure someone.
