It’s obvious that the desperate creators of the Borderlands series cannot be intimidated by any coronaviruses. Therefore, Gearbox Software Studios came to the PAX East 2020 exhibition, which is taking place in Boston, in full dress and on time – to make a number of important announcements regarding the future of Borderlands 3.
Firstly, the release date for the game was announced on Steam, which debuted on the PC as a temporary Epic Games Store exclusive on September 13 last year. This will happen on March 13 – that is, exactly six months after the premiere in the store “epikov”. In a separate line, it is worth noting that the developers made sure that users of two irreconcilable digital distribution services could play together, and screwed up support for cross-platform games between Steam and Epic Games Launcher. Thus, computer players will be able to add each other to friends, take part in cooperative sessions and hang out together in multiplayer – regardless of which of the two platforms the game was purchased on. Over time, Gearbox plans to add even more cross-platform chips – for example, the ability to share weapons. This will happen a few weeks after the release of the game on Steam.
The second important news was the announcement of the release date of the second storyline add-on for Borderlands 3 under the biting name Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock – March 26.
In the story, Sir Alistair Hammerlock and Wainwright Jacobs finally decided to tie the knot and want you to come for a walk at their wedding, which will be held on the icy planet Xylurgos. Her frozen wastelands are inhabited by dangerous animals, and the terrible city of Kershaven, where the celebration will take place, is teeming with terrible monsters. In general, it will be scary and interesting.
The Guns, Love, and Tentacles add-on is part of the Borderlands 3 Season Pass and Super Deluxe Edition, so their owners do not have to pay extra for the pass to the flame.

Finally, Gearbox and 2K have unveiled the release schedule for upcoming events and updates that will entertain players in Borderlands 3 this spring. And they will entertain absolutely free. So, in April, Mayhem Mode 2.0 will come along with the Revenge of the Cartels event. The first promises to be a pumped version of the original Mayhem, and make old modifiers work in a new way. Well, in Revenge of the Cartels, players will have to track down and destroy cartel employees in order to earn a reward unique to this event.
May promises to be a really hot month in Borderlands 3, because the players are waiting for the new mission Guardian Takedown, which promises to be one of the most difficult trials in their lives. Still – here you have not only new bosses, but also a scalable level of difficulty that adapts to a group of four players in such a way that no one should be bored.
