State Government of Guerrero Supports Women Journalists with Life Insurance Program

Acapulco.- The guerrero state government delivered 25 life insurances, to the same number of women communicators, so that they have the security and well-being that are essential for the exercise of journalism.

The governor Evelyn Salt Pineda She affirmed that she and the services that make up her administration unrestrictedly respect freedom of expression, because it is fundamental in a democratic regime.

He said that being a journalist is an essential profession for public life in any country and in any society, since they are the main conduit to keep the people informed and also to point out the successes and errors of public servants.

For this reason, he reiterated his commitment and political will to offer a space and a government with open doors, with a lot of recognition, respect and, above all, support.

“Not only do we have to recognize journalists, they also have to be supported and supported, so that they have all the necessary conditions to exercise this noble profession,” he asserted.

In Parque Papagayo, the southern president (from Morena) assured that this life insurance program “is one of the most sensitive of this administration, because its objective is to guarantee that women and men in this union have all the conditions security and well-being, which are essential for the exercise of their functions”.

He specified that it is a program that does not seek anything other than to strengthen the journalistic work that “you do every day and also offer guarantees so that they know that they are backed, supported and supported.”

In addition, María del Carmen Cabrera Lagunas, head of the Welfare Secretariat, spoke at this event, referring to the work that, on the instructions of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, has been carried out to support, without distinction and with full inclusion, the union, particularly women.

All this is reflected, through the high-level training and workshops that are offered, to achieve the full development of the skills of journalists, so that they are reflected with professional and quality work, he added.

At the time, René Posselt Aguirre, head of the General Directorate of Social Communication of the state, expressed his appreciation for the work carried out by the members of the union; In addition, he highlighted the impulse that is being carried out, from the State Government, to generate a new communication policy, which allows journalists to be supported.

Likewise, he recognized the tireless work of Governor Salgado Pineda, who has printed the human face of the current administration.

“The actions that we take are in accordance with the guidelines that she marks for us as the great human being that she is and, of course, she combines with the great human beings that journalists are, and that today we are here having the opportunity to carry out this great event,” he said.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, the journalist Marta Angélica Casas García recognized the effort of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda to keep the Journalists Support Fund (FAP) active, a unique model in the country, through which the state administration grants insurance life and support in various areas such as health and education.

The FAP currently has 422 members, of which 101 are women. In this act, financial support was also delivered to relatives of FAP members. The head of the Directorate of Attention to Journalists, Sergio Ferrer Martínez, attended this event.
