Star Wars: KOTOR II can’t be played on Nintendo Switch due to bug | NOW

the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II (KOTOR II) is not playable on the Nintendo Switch. Developer Aspyr is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

Star Wars: KOTOR II originally appeared in 2004 on the original Xbox. The Switch version of the game was released on June 8 by Aspyr, a studio that frequently port classic games to new consoles.

People who bought the game are now finding out that it cannot be completed. About halfway through the game, players will see a cutscene, after which the game will stop. There is no way around the crash.

Aspyr writes down Twitter that the problem is known. The developer promises to fix it in the next update, although it is not known when that will come.

“We know there is no way to complete the game right now and our team is working on a solution that will come as soon as possible,” the studio said to a duped player. “Apologies for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.”
