Despite a style that tends to irritate a lot of moviegoers, Michael Bay is followed by a real battalion of fans, watching each of his films.
And recently, they have had something to eat, directly or indirectly. Admittedly, the director of the great Transformers 5 has nothing to do with the production of this 3rd part, but the comparison with his furious work has necessarily been appropriate. According to Deadlineit would be a dystopia titled Little America where the United States is ruined and turned into a war zone. A former soldier is hired by an Asian millionaire to find his daughter. Alongside the very effective sister of the disappeared, the man will have to cross Little America, a sort of ghetto for exiled Americans in the middle of Hong Kong. And who better to embody the famous mercenary than Sylvester Stallone? Fresh out of the last Rambo Razzies-nominated Sly is expected to attract big-arm fans from around the world.

But beyond the nag dimension of a pitch which, well developed, can give rise to a super violent series B, we detect a political dimension that is not very subtle, but quite intriguing. It is necessarily a question of immigration, a topic that could not be more topical a few months before the American presidential election. To make matters worse, the project is supposed to be inspired by New-York 1997, John Carpenter’s cult film starring Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken. Real reflection or pretext for the castagne? The future will tell.
Filming is scheduled for this summer.knowing that, before that, Stallone has to take care of his superhero movie Samaritan. The retirement age definitely continues to be pushed back.
