Two unknown people raided the St. Gallen post office in Neudorf on Rorschacherstrasse at 5.50 a.m. on Thursday morning. The two armed men, masked with balaclavas, were anything but squeamish.

As the cantonal police in St. Gallen wrote, a 56-year-old bank employee was about to enter the post office via the Lindensrasse rear entrance when the men overwhelmed her.
–
The strangers seized the woman, pushed her into an anteroom and tied her up.

Perpetrators talked in foreign language
Because the alarm was triggered shortly thereafter, the perpetrators fled without prey to Brauerstrasse on foot. Several patrols of the cantonal and city police in St.Gallen immediately went out to search. So far this has been unsuccessful. That is why witnesses are now being sought.
–
Fortunately, the post office worker was not injured in the attack. She described the perpetrators as slim people who spoke in a foreign language. One of them was wearing an olive green jacket and had a black backpack with him. All information is requested to the cantonal police St.Gallen, 058 229 49 49. (cat)
