Ssangyong Musso: The Modern Pick-Up Truck with Functionality and Appearance

Under these circumstances, the starting price of the Ssangyong Musso at 36,000 euros seems fair, to say the least. The demonstration car of “Ssangyong” dealer “Andre Motors” is 10,000 euros more expensive, as it represents the highest configuration “Quartz”.

“Ssangyong Musso” can have two different rear suspensions – with coil springs or flat springs, leaf springs or leaf springs. In the second variant, the load capacity of the pickup truck is 300 kg higher. With the usual flat springs, “Musso” has a lifting capacity of 1 ton, while the curb weight can reach 3.2 tons.

Models with coil springs are lighter by 3 tons, but the lifting capacity is also lower, 700 – 750 kg. The weight is also affected by the fact that flat springs are only available for the longest version of the “Musso Grand” pickup. It is almost half a meter longer than the “Musso” standard.

Both have a double cab, only the length of the cargo box differs. “Musso” is equipped with a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine. It has a power of 202 hp. A torque of 400 newton meters is required in bezels, as well as for successful towing of trailers.

The permissible total weight of the trailer is 3 tons. Unlike the technically related all-terrain vehicle “Ssangyong Rexton”, the pickup has a six-speed automatic transmission instead of eight.”
