VIVA – Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati warns banking do not abuse the People’s Business Credit policy (WHEN) latest set for 2022.

He requested that this policy be used by banks to find new debtors. Not diverting existing debtors to the KUR scheme.

“We ask banks not to change the conditions for ordinary borrowers to become KUR. Looking for new clients so we can add small businesses that can get government facilities, that’s what we will arrange,” he said in his office, Friday, December 31, 2021.

Previously, President Joko Widodo had decided to continue the provision of People’s Business Credit (KUR) with flower which is very cheap. Jokowi set the 2022 KUR interest rate at only 3 percent.

The Head of State’s decision was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto during an official press conference hybrid at his office, Jakarta, Thursday, December 30, 2021.
