Spotify has added a feature to show results that match the lyrics, rather than just the title or performer. That should help users find a particular song faster.
The function works in the apps for iOS and Android, a Spotify developer says. If the result matches a song lyrics, Spotify will add the text ‘song lyrics match’, as a short test shows. The function also works in Dutch.
Spotify isn’t the first streaming service to have the feature. For example, Apple added that to Apple Music with the release of iOS 12 two years ago. The function is available immediately and works from the existing search bar in the apps.
