It is the fruit of the work that I had already started in Reunion with dad during the holidays. It had been two years since I had returned “to the pei”. I needed to recharge my batteries with my people. Between work sessions with my dad and mom’s good carrys (laughs), I was able to replenish my energy. These vacations have done me a lot of good. I was really good to start the new project with the new staff. All the efforts made during the preparation pay off, we are happy. They have been identified, particularly on the defensive aspect. I am a full-back who attacks a lot, as I was a younger left winger in Reunion Island. Without losing my qualities which are to make a lot of kilometers in the matches and to go up to bring the most offensive, I concentrate on better defending. It has been quite successful for us so far as we have not yet conceded a goal. We must continue in this way. I feel that the coach trusts me. He helps me with his staff to improve even more. It boosts. It’s up to me not to fall asleep on my laurels. I am aware that nothing is due. Only work pays off.
Is Caen armed to aim for a return to L1 so hoped for?
I knew Ligue 1 when I started, with Ronny (Rodelin) who had taken me under his wing. We all want to find the elite. It’s up to us to do what is necessary. The team has been quite young since last year. More than the forces present, it is the state of mind that is essential.
