AEW was recording their November 11, 2022 edition of Rampage right after the November 9 Dynamite in Boston City and a Steel Cage Match was added on the Full Gear card for this episode.
In fact, Jack Perry (Jungle Boy) had announced during Dynamite that he wanted to meet Christian Cage and Luchasaurus in the Rampage ring to challenge them to Full Gear. Rampage opened with this segment and Jack Perry challenged Luchasaurus to a Steel Cage Match for the PPV. Luchasaurus accepted the challenge with Christian’s permission and a fight ensued. Luchasaurus took control and was able to smother Perry on the chairs.
Christian Cage has not yet been cleared to return to the ring following the injury just prior to All Out 2022. Which explains why he will not participate in the physical action and Full Gear match which will take place on November 19th. . This Steel Cage Match between Jack Perry and Luchasaurus will mark the first Steel Cage Match in history for the Full Gear PPV. You can view the PPV map at this link.
