Speedway: Coverage of the match ROW Rybnik – Stal Gorzów

At the very bottom of the table they are not now, but the packed with representatives of Poland My Bermuda Stal Gorzów, which was not even saved by a perfect world champion on Sunday – Bartosz Zmarzlik.

Before the meeting, the Rybnik team and coach Lech Kędziora fell with an avalanche of justified criticism. Andrzej Wyglenda, the legendary star of Rybnik, thundered, other experts criticized, suggesting that Kędziora could not control the team and use the full potential of Robert Lambert in a great reserve form. The trainer apparently took it to heart, because before the match against Gorzów he made a tactical revolution. Not only that for the first time this year, he staged the ambitious Sergei Logachev and was not disappointed, but after the injury of Andrzej Lebedev (in Tuesday’s match with MrGarden GKM Grudziądz broke a bone in the lower leg and he is about 1.5 months break – ed. .) took place in the composition for the sixth senior, but … he sent to the homes of Adrian Miedziński and Troy Batchelor after training and used the variant with the replacement of a player. Thanks to this, Lambert could ride in a normal rhythm from the first gear. And he went phenomenally!

In the end, shame was not brought by the youth of Rybnik, specifically the ROW pupil – Mateusz Tudzież. There were still mistakes, lost points at a distance, but two “eyes” won on Niels Kristian Iversena clearly showed that it does not have to be an extra at all in PGE Ekstralidze.

It is worth mentioning, however, that for the Danes it was only the first performance after healing a shoulder injury he suffered at one of the pre-season training sessions. It was clear that this injury was not yet fully healed and it would be better if he rested instead of getting on a motorcycle.

Bad luck was haunting the guests in Rybnik. In one of the races Anders Thomsen broke the frame in one of the motorcycles, and another of the leaders of Gorzow – Szymon Woźniak broke the hook. This in no way explains the poor performance of the Polish representative in subsequent races. In the team of guests “flew” over the Rybnik track, doubling and tripling Bartosz Zmarzlik. Thomsen tried to support him, but he successfully intertwined the poor ones and Krzysztof Kasprzak, who, however, amazingly easily gave a point at a distance. Among others Vaclav Milik, who fought ambitiously, dealt with him twice.

It was thanks to the Czech and Lambert ROW that he took a slight lead in the second phase of the competition. The fate of the match could, however, turned 12th. Kacper Woryna made a mistake at the exit from the second arch. Trying to overtake Woźniak, he hit him and knocked over him. He was excluded from the replay in which the lonely Kamil Nowacki in theory was doomed to failure. Unexpectedly, however, he fired a great start, and then he defended himself over the whole distance from Wozniak’s attacks. At this point, the Rybnik stadium exploded, and the governors of Gorzow probably cursed under their breath, because they were unwary to agree to borrow this boy to Rybnik a few days ago.

As soon as the stands of the building at ul. Gliwicka went crazy with happiness, so fell silent after the 13th run. Lambert started well, but Bartosz Zmarzlik pushed him hard and quickly found himself in the double lead with Anders Thomsen.

Before the nominated runs, Stal led two points, but in the 14th race Lambert and Milik flashed again and the hosts regained their advantage (43:41).

In the last run, a draw was enough for them and they brought him. Voryna only tried to chase Zmarzlik for a moment. Then he focused on defense. Together with Łogaczew, they skillfully lined up and blocked Thomsen. Denmark tried to speed up on the last straight and pass the Russian, but he could not. He ran out of half a motorcycle.

Łogaczew deserved to defend himself. He was one of the heroes of this match. He showed the character of a warrior again. Although he did not shine at training, he lost to his teammates, he proved that training does not count in speedway, but the warrior’s heart, character and soul.
