Earlier, Umran became India’s fastest bowler by bowling at a speed of 155km/h in the first Twenty20 against Lanka. The player surpassed Jasprit Bumrah’s record that day. Bumrah’s record was 153.36 per hour.

Umran also has the fastest ball by an Indian pacer in the IPL. Umran bowled at a speed of 156.9km/h while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi in the IPL 2022.

The player took three wickets in the ODI against Lanka and played a crucial part in the win. The bowler who bowled eight overs gave away 57 runs and got that many wickets.
