Specialist Recommends Testing for Vitamin D Deficiency for Joint and Muscle Pain

Al-Marsad newspaper: The spine, back, joints and bones specialist, Dr. Waseem Saleh, advised us to test Vitamin D directly because it is often deficient.

Saleh said in a video clip that anyone who comes to the clinic complaining of joint and muscle pain is advised to take one vitamin D pill for 3 months, after which the examination comes.

He also advised exposure to sunlight for half an hour a day at noon, at 10 or 11 a.m., noting that a person needs 400 international units of vitamin D, and the sun provides a person with 10,000 units.
