Title: Spartak Trnava Completes First Block of Summer Training, Prepares for Warm-up Matches

Date: June 21, 2023

The football players of Spartak Trnava have successfully completed the first block of their summer training. After a rigorous fitness session in Trnava, the team is now preparing for a training session in Slovenia. During their time in Slovenia, Spartak Trnava will also play warm-up matches against NK Rijeka and Hajduk Split.

Coach Michal Gašparík expressed his satisfaction with the team’s physical preparedness despite the longer break. The team took a freer approach to their preparations to avoid injuries. In the initial days of training, no matches were included in the program to gradually build up to the maximum training load. The training camp will feature two matches in ten days, allowing the team to focus on training and regeneration.

Regarding the squad, Gašparík provided updates on several players. Breznik, a new addition to the team, will join the training camp despite not training at full capacity due to a muscle injury. Bolaji, on the other hand, will not travel with the team to the concentration as he is still experiencing some pain and gradually increasing his load. Lukáš Štetina, unfortunately, suffered an injury to his operated knee and will require a break of two to three weeks.

Gašparík also discussed the team’s search for new players. Martin Šulek, a Slovak defender who last played for Wisla Plock, is being considered as a potential addition to the team. The coach has been in touch with Šulek and believes he could provide valuable support as a right defender. The team is also looking for a classic striker and is close to finalizing agreements with promising players who can typologically replace Savvidis.

In terms of potential arrivals, the team had scouted Czech striker Matěj Pulkrab, but he has agreed to join another Czech team. Gašparík mentioned that there have been discussions about Abdulrahman Taiwa’s future with the club, but no final decision has been made yet. Boateng will not be traveling to Slovenia as he is going for a trial with a second division Austrian team, while Ikugar will join the team for the matches.

Lastly, there has been interest in buying Milan Ristovský, with an offer from abroad that is considered adequate for both the club and the player. However, the deal is not yet 100% complete.

Overall, Spartak Trnava is focused on their summer training and preparations for the upcoming season. The team is working diligently to strengthen their squad and ensure they are ready for the challenges ahead.

How will the upcoming warm-up matches in Slovenia help Spartak Trnava evaluate their progress and identify areas for improvement in preparation for the competitive season

Up the players’ fitness levels. The focus was on conditioning, strength training, and tactical drills to improve team cohesion.

The next phase of training will take place in Slovenia, where Spartak Trnava will have the opportunity to test their skills against NK Rijeka and Hajduk Split. These warm-up matches will serve as valuable preparation for the upcoming season and will allow the coaching staff to assess the team’s progress and identify areas for improvement.

The players are excited about the upcoming matches and are looking forward to putting their hard work and training into practice. The team is determined to start the season on a positive note and aims to build upon their previous successes.
