In the preview of Super Bowl LV, we reviewed professional American football players born in Latin American countries who became NFL champions

This is a list of some American football players, born in Spanish-speaking countries, who played outside their country of origin as professionals, specifically in the United States and managed to become NFL champions.

The main factor that was taken into account in this list was that the player must have been born in any country of the so-called Latin America (almost all of Latin America and Spain). Other data such as the nationality of the parents were not taken into account.

Players born in the United States of Hispanic American descent were also not considered.

In the list we find:

Martín Grammar, Argentine, born in November 1975. He played for Kansas State University and served in the NFL from 1999 to 2009. During his time in the league, he played for: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints.

He was champion of Super Bowl XXXVII in 2000 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ted Hendricks, Guatemalan, born in November 1947. He played for the University of Miami and served in the NFL from 1969 to 1983. He went through the following franchises: Baltimore Colts, Green Bay Packers and Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders.

He was a 4-time Super Bowl champion (V, Colts; XI, XV and XVIII, Raiders). In turn, he is a member of the Professional and University Halls of Fame.

Steve Van Buren, Honduran, born December 1920. He played for the University of LSU and served in the NFL from 1944 to 1951, doing it only for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He is a two-time NFL champion in 1948 and 1949. His stint in the league earned him the Hall of Fame.

Raul Allegre, Mexican, born in June 1959. He played for the University of Texas and served in the NFL from 1983 to 1991. His sports career made him go through the following teams: Baltimore / Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants and New York Jets.

He was champion of the Super Bowl with New York Giants (XXI).

Tom Fears, Mexican, born in December 1922. He played for UCLA University and during his years in the NFL he was in the ranks of the Los Angeles Rams from 1948 to 1968.

He was an NFL Champion in 1951, which led him to be a member of the Professional and College Hall of Fame.

Efrén Herrera, Mexican, born in July 1951. He played for UCLA University and had a good career in the NFL from 1974 to 1982, where he passed through: Dallas, Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills and Oklahoma Outlaws (USFL).

He was champion of Super Bowl XII with the Dallas Cowboys.

Al Richis, Mexican, born in November 1910. He played for the University of Utah and only one year in the NFL during the 1935 season for the Detroit Lions.

That year he won the NFL championship.
