BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID, BANJARMASIN – South Kalimantan Free Fire Team, MLS Sports, has ambitions to follow the success of the South Kalimantan ESI PES team in the XX Papua 2021 National Sports Week (PON) event.
The PES Esports Indonesia (ESI) South Kalimantan team has shown a brilliant performance in the 2021 Pre PON round
Tim Tim PES ESI Kalsel, namely Romy Hadiwijaya and M Reza Alfiqri, managed to secure a place in the exhibition match PON XX Papua 2021.
They managed to qualify for the semifinals of Pre PON after defeating the East Kalimantan team in a match titled Derby Kalimantan on Thursday (9/9/2021).
Now, team MLS Sports those who fall in the Free Fire game match numbers are ready to fight for the 11 available slots in the exhibition event PON XX Papua.
Team manager MLS Sports, Dwi Cahyo Nugroho, said that his team had made thorough preparations for the Pre-PON.
“To prepare as much as possible in terms of training and others, this is an opportunity for children to carry the name of South Kalimantan,” he said.
As the champion of the Provincial Qualification, MLS Esports relies on four players, namely Muhammad Hamidi, Radja, Angga Safutra and Muhammad Akhwan Nabil.
MLS Esports is in Group A with 10 other teams, namely West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, DKI Jakarta, Bali, KP Bangka Belitung, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, DI Yogyakarta and Riau.
Still said Dwi, the strength of opponents in other provincial teams cannot be mapped. However, he is optimistic that his team can give the best results in the 2021 Pre-PON event.
“In terms of mapping the opponent’s strength, we still can’t predict, but from us, we have often taken national tours under the auspices of MLS Sports and also frequent scrim invitations with elite teams such as evos aura,” he explained.
