During the transmission of SummerSlam 2020 via WWE Network Mandy Rose defeated Sonya Deville in a no disqualification match. Thus, Deville must leave WWE.
The fight between the two began in the area of ringside, where Mandy took complete control and applied a Suplex on the metal ramp and then took his rival to place it on a table to perform a Clothesline. Upon returning to the ring, Sonya tried to reverse the fight, with submission brackets to Mandy, who managed to escape and returned to dominate the fight, finishing with a Double Underhook Facebuster followed by a knee to beat Sonya.
After the fight, Otis appeared above the ring to party with Mandy, while a Sonya Deville could be seen to leave the ring in the middle of tears. It should be noted that originally the idea was to perform a hair vs hair match but the stipulation was changed on the last episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The fact that Sonya leaves WWE, is in a context kayfabe and it is believed that one of the reasons for this change is because recently, Sonya suffered an attempted kidnapping from a supposed fan.
Sonya and Mandy’s rivalry had been building since the SmackDown before WrestleMania. On that occasion, a hacker managed to prove that Sonya Deville was purposely taking Mandy Rose away from Otis. Later, Deville would show her jealousy towards her former partner in “Fire and Desire”. The wrestler won several times against Mandy in individual matches of the blue show.
