Sony provides details on how its PlayStation Plus collection will work for the PS5

Sony has announced more details on how PlayStation Plus collection will work on new blog post. The service launches alongside US consoles on November 12 and offers PS5 owners more than a dozen classic PS4 titles. Titles are available free of charge to PS Plus subscribers, and they will remain accessible for as long as the subscription is active.

The service launch date varies worldwide, depending on when the console itself will be available. It will be available on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, and on November 19 in Europe, the Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa. The collection isn’t available in China, Sony said, and it looks like it’s only available to PS5 customers. It’s unclear whether PS4 owners who don’t own the PS5 will have access to the games.

Sony has released a new list of titles that will be available as part of the PlayStation Plus collection. This includes some games that are not on last month’s original list; Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition and Trilogi Crash Bandicoot N. Sane. Here is a complete list that Sony warns will vary by region:

  • Blood thirst
  • The days are over
  • Detroit: to be human
  • God of War
  • The famous second son
  • Ratchet dan Clank
  • The last guard
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Until dawn
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition
  • Trilogi Crash Bandicoot N. Sane
  • Result 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Person 5
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Sony says these PS4 games should benefit from the PS5’s more powerful hardware and in some cases will also benefit from faster loading times and more consistent frame rates.

Apart from announcing more details about the PlayStation Plus collection, Sony has also announced which games PS Plus customers will get for free next month. This includes the first free PS5 games, Bugsnax, which is available from November 3 to January 4. (However, the PS4 version of the game is not free.) Meanwhile, PS4 games will be available Middle Earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Edisi Voidheart, which is available from November 3 to November 30.
