Sony has announced the Xperia 1 II. The device offers a Cinema Pro option that offers users extensive options when capturing moving images.
The Xperia 1 II succeeds last year’s Xperia 1. The device again has a 6.5 inch screen with a ratio of 21 by 9. This makes the phone look longer than the master devices. According to Sony, this ratio comes in handy when playing movies and series, because most of them are included in this ratio.
The phone has three camera lenses on the back. It is a standard lens, a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens with which you can zoom in optically three times. A depth sensor has also been added.
Sony has added a Cinema Pro feature for video makers. This gives people extensive options for making videos. This allows them to adjust colors, resolution and focus manually. There is also a special wind filter that digitally extracts the wind from recorded audio.
The phone is also equipped with technology that can be used to make burst shots at twenty frames per second. With this, moving subjects must remain constantly in focus. The camera recognizes animals as well as people, so that they are automatically focused.
Sony retains headphone connection
It is striking that the device uses a 3.5 mm connection to connect headphones with wire. Many other smartphone manufacturers have since said goodbye to making more room in the device for other components, such as the battery. The Xperia 1 II contains a battery with 4,000 mAh.
The device has 8GB of memory and 256 GB of storage space. The Xperia 1 II is “end of this spring” for 1,199 euros.
