It’s been some time since Sonos last presented new hardware. That was in September last year when the Sonos Move, among others, came onto the market. Now it seems to be time again.
On his official Twitter channel Sonos published a small animation a few days ago, at the end of which they say: “You don’t want to miss that. May 6th. “
In addition, there is currently a promotional offer with some offers that are valid until May 5. That would suggest that you offer new hardware afterwards – which of course you don’t want to immediately offer cheaper.
What may be new on May 6 now also seems to be shown. In this blog is a first graphic of a new Sonos Playbar popped up. Unfortunately, there is not much to see, but we can safely assume that AirPlay 2 is finally on board. There have also been recent rumors surrounding the integration of Dolby Atmos.
So let’s just wait a few more days. Because of the current situation, Sonos will certainly not hold a big event as usual, but somehow it will be possible to introduce the new products in the digital age.
