Some “Tet” customers will have to pay more for services

The technology company SIA “Tet” explains that the price of the service with a discount will increase by an average of 12%, said Lāsma Trofimova, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communication at “Tet”.

She pointed out that currently the basic prices of “Tet” services are not being changed and the price changes will affect only those customers who use discount programs.

At the same time, Trofimova pointed out that the services offered by “Tet” are also affected by inflation, the price of technical equipment and electricity, which have risen 2.5 times during the year, as well as the significant increase in the costs of other resources, however, “Tet” will continue to work to provide customers with their growing demands appropriate quality services, the company would work more efficiently and there would be no need to raise service prices.

The “Tet” customer contract provides for the possibility of amending the service tariff, in accordance with the Law on Electronic Communications Services, informing the customers about it in time or one month in advance, said Trofimova.

It has already been announced that last year the “Tet” concern worked with a turnover of 253.253 million euros, which is 13.7% more than a year earlier, but the profit of the concern decreased by 5.1% – to 28.852 million euros. At the same time, the turnover of “Tet” itself in 2021 was 200.618 million euros, which is 12.5% ​​more than in 2020, but the company’s profit decreased by 11% and was 26.778 million euros.

“Tet” is owned by the state in the person of SIA “Publisko aktivat gemanatājs “Possessor”” (51%) and “Tilts Communications”, a subsidiary of the telecommunications company “Telia Company” (49%). The “Tet” group includes the companies “Tet”, “Citrus Solutions”, “Data Experts”, “Helio Media” and “Baltic Computer Academy”. “Tet” owns 23% of SIA “Latvijas mobilais telefons”.
