Some coins are worth more than 40 thousand euros: this is what they are

The old lira we are so fond of are not only sentimental, in some cases they could be worth a small fortune.

FROM OUR NETWORK:

Who among us hasn’t kept some coins from the old lire? A little out of affection for our beloved old coin, but also a little in the hope that with the passage of time the preserved coins could increase in value for collectors. The lira was the official currency of Italy from 1861 until February 28, 2002, when the euro finally came into force.

Old lire worth a fortune

Although we can no longer use the old lira for shopping, it is good to know that some of these coins have become very coveted for collectors and could be worth a small fortune. Let’s see which are the most precious. We assume that to have a value for collectors, the coins in question must meet these two requirements:
-be rare
– be kept in good condition otherwise their value drops significantly.

Let’s start with the 1 lira coin, the one with the orange branch on one side and the head decorated with ears on the other: the 1 lira coin from 1947 reaches a value of 1500 euros.

Another coin from 1947, but this time the 2 lire coin with the ear of corn: that of this specific vintage if well preserved can be worth up to 1800 euros.

The 5 lire coin with the bunch of grapes (the first of this face value) from 1946 can be worth up to 1200 euros: in this case we are talking about a coin made in Italma, one of the many alloys used by the State Mint.

Another 5 lire coin that can be worth a small fortune is the one with the dolphin: if dated 1955 and perfectly preserved it is worth up to 2000 euros. Let’s move on to the 10 lire coin that many will remember, it is the 10 lire coin with the olive branch. If well preserved and from 1947, their value reaches 4000 euros.

As for the 50 lire coin with the god Vulcan, the ones that accompanied us until 2002, if you are in possession of a 1956 copy in good condition, the value reaches up to 2000 euros. Same coin but from 1958 the value, also in this case can reach up to 2000 euros. Less value, however, to the 100 lire coin: those minted in 1955 if in perfect condition reach a value of 1000 euros.
