Amsterdam – The production of ampoules with antibodies from the blood of ex-Covid-19 patients is slower at the Sanquin blood bank than had been assumed. This is because donors donate plasma less often and antibodies disappear from the blood more quickly than hoped. “But the project is definitely not in danger. In fact, we are at the forefront in Europe ”, says professor of infectious diseases and microbiology Hans Zaaijer.
