The Secours populaire launches an appeal for solidarity
Faced with the outbreak of violence and its dramatic human consequences, the French Secours Populaire is appealing for solidarity to support the population of Gaza.
Without waiting, the SPF releases an initial financial support of 50,000 euros from its solidarity emergency fund to respond to the cry of alarm from its partner Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS). PMRS intervenes tirelessly to provide medical, material and psychological aid to victims, including children: care provided by mobile medical teams, post-operative care, psycho-social support, distribution of food, clothing, hygiene kits, water, kits for babies, kitchen utensils, food…
Support more than ever necessary when each bombardment causes increasingly catastrophic situations and the displacement of thousands of civilians. With the blockade still in place, the only sources of water, electricity and food dwindle with each violent attack on Gaza.
Secours populaire has been providing solidarity since 1979 through its partnership with PMRS. The long-term work of PMRS, deployed through the thirty health centers distributed in Gaza and the West Bank, its mobile clinics and its first-aiders who criss-cross the Palestinian territories, is irreplaceable.
The SPF, which works with all those who suffer, everywhere in France and around the world, calls on the generosity and solidarity of all to alleviate the suffering suffered day and night by women, men and children. vulnerable and restore their confidence in the future. All fundraising and solidarity initiatives are welcome.
