A gang of Roma attacked a family in Lom with axes and pitchforks, BulNews reported.

The action was reported last night, around 1 a.m., to the emergency number 112, the police said.

Immediately after the announcement, police and emergency medical teams arrived at the address.

On the spot, the uniformed officers discovered that the basis of the conflict, which turned into a beating, was an old enmity. According to unofficial information, everything started on Saturday evening. Then, in the disco in Lom, a scandal broke out between two brothers aged 24 and 26 from Mladenovo district and a group of Roma living in the area of ​​the stadium. It escalated into a fistfight, as a result of which the older brother suffered.

Yesterday, in the late afternoon, the two boys again met the group of bullies and once again exchanged sharp remarks and slaps. Shortly after, the gang from the stadium, which consisted of about 10 people, got into two cars and went to the home of the two brothers in the “Mladenovo” district.

The bullies carried axes, picks and pitchforks with them and attacked the boys’ parents and their grandfather.

Witnesses of the bloody fight immediately signaled the emergency phone. The doctors who arrived at the scene examined the victims, who according to initial data were at least four, and transported them to the hospitals in Lom and Montana, where they were admitted for treatment. One of them had his spleen removed, and another with broken ribs and injuries in the neck area, and there is currently no information on the condition of the other hospitalized patients.

According to the police, among the participants in the fight there are persons with criminal records – they were convicted of theft and narcotics.

The district administration in Lom is already working on the case and pre-trial proceedings will be initiated, the police said.
