So that we get rid of our cars: Greens want to make 104 villages out of Hamburg! | Regional

Hamburg – Hamburg’s Greens live in their own world – everything is friendly, fair, money grows on trees. And the state reigns supreme.

This is the idea of the party of the future of our city. Approved at the party conference at the weekend.

“Your city, your neighborhood – Hamburg worth living in for everyone” is the name of the 16-page lead motion.

The feel-good message: The Greens want Bullerbü to be everywhere. In each of Hamburg’s 104 districts. In Ochsenwerder as well as in the Schanze or Lurup.

Bullerbü is a village from the children’s books by Adtrid Lindgren (1907-2002). Everything is very, very cozy there.

In Green German this means: “We want to make Hamburg a 15-minute city”. Living, working, shopping – everything in the district. For “more variety, more well-being”, of course. And of course: The apartments should all be climate-neutral and still cheap (“maximum 12.50 euros”). Made available by the Saga, which is to become a quasi-national company – like in the old GDR.

“Nobody should experience discrimination because of their place of residence.”

I’m sorry, what?

Should Blankenese be like Bramfeld? In Dulsberg as in Duvenstedt?

Yes, believe the Greens. The main thing is that the car is locked out. Road barriers such as diagonal barriers, bollards and planters should therefore be set up everywhere in residential areas (“Hamburg Blocks”).

But the Greens don’t just think big, they also think very small: the concept of the “nice toilet” must be promoted. Translated: Restaurateurs should open their toilets to everyone.

Who should pay for the unworldly plans? That’s not worth a line to the Greens.

They don’t care about that any more than they do about the city center and industry. None of this appears in the lead motion.

Bizarre: The paper is said to have been defused in advance. The Green Youth even wanted to call for expropriations…
