Due to the renewed snowfall, there were again a large number of traffic accidents last Wednesday.
On April 7th, 21 at 6:35 a.m., a 32-year-old driver drove the K 4907 coming from St. Märgen in the direction of Wagensteig. His car skid on the snow-covered lane and collided with an approaching car belonging to a 25-year-old driver on the opposite lane. The 25-year-old driver was slightly injured in the impact. The vehicles suffered property damage of approx. 18,000 euros. These had to be recovered by a local towing company.
Gg. 09:23 a.m., on the K4964 in the Kirchsteige area, a 55-year-old driver with his car came off the road to the right due to lack of winter tires on the snow-covered lane and then collided with the guardrail. The car had to be recovered by a local towing company, with damage amounting to approx. 5.00 euros.
Another traffic accident occurred at 11.33 a.m. on the B315 in the Lenzkirch-Rotkreuz area. As a result of the snow-covered roadway, a 47-year-old truck driver and his trailer team came off the road to the right and then got stuck in the street shoulder. The truck had to be salvaged by a specialist company. During the rescue operations, the road had to be closed several times. This resulted in traffic obstructions at times
