Snow – weather is coming again this week

The Monday starts cloudy in the south and east and drops of rain still fall in places. During the course of the day the clouds loosen up and at times the sun comes up. From Vorarlberg to Carinthia, however, the clouds thicken again and rain sets in in the evening. The snow line drops from 1,000 to 700 m at night.

At the Tuesday the cloud cover remains closed from the early morning and there is often thunderstorm rain, above 600 to 1,000 m of snow. The dry hours gradually increase during the day, but the clouds remain dense in the afternoon. The wind refreshes moderately to lively from the north.

At the Wednesday there is a mix of sunshine and clouds, which can be a bit denser in the first half of the day. Especially in the morning hours a few snowflakes can fall in Upper Carinthia.

The exact weather development for the Thursday is still subject to greater uncertainties. From today’s point of view, the sun is showing itself for a long time, especially in the south, southeast and east, whereas clouds are increasing from Vorarlberg to Upper Austria.

Some rain can be expected here during the day and snowfall above 700 to 900 m. With moderate to lively northwest winds, the temperatures climb to 3 degrees in higher valleys in the Northern Alps and 10 degrees in southern Styria.
