Well, not everything has to be “useful”. Otherwise, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo could immediately end their console sales. Netflix can stop series and make / offer films, etc.

Something can also be useful because it is entertaining, people probably find it fun to make and watch the videos. I don’t use it myself because it doesn’t mean anything to me, but then I do other useless things like gaming and Linux distros for no use, just to see how good I like them.

And for the owners of the app it will also be useful, they can earn (a lot of) money and employ a lot of people.

But I totally understand that you (also) find it no use. Fine 😉

A little more on topic: I suspect that Snapchat and Facebook (with Instagram) smell opportunities now that TikTok must be sold or taken off the American market.
