Gabino Morales Mendoza, federal superdelegate in the state of San Luis Potosí, reported in his patrimonial declaration and of conflict of interest that he had a net income for his position almost 80 times more than what President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported, while Pablo Amílcar Sandoval Ballesteros, delegate in Guerrero and brother of Irma Eréndira Sandoval, Public Function Secretary (SFP), has not yet filed its patrimonial declaration.
In reviewing Morales Mendoza’s statement, EL UNIVERSAL found that for the position of federal superdelegate, he reported 126 million 209 thousand 710 pesos, that is, 80 times more than the income obtained by the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who reported that in 2019 he earned a million 567 thousand 640 pesos.
In his brief statement presented on May 22, the federal official detailed that he has two automotive loans, one with Banco Santander, for 240 thousand pesos, and another with NR Finance, for 180 thousand.
Jorge Taddei Bringas, federal delegate in Baja California, is another of the officials who also reported a higher income than the federal Executive, because he reported that he obtained one million 804 thousand 734 pesos for his position, that is, 250 thousand pesos more than the president’s salary López Obrador.

In his statement, Taddei Bringas specified that in 2019 in total he received income of 2 million 412 thousand 711 pesos, of which, in addition to the million 804 thousand 734 for his position as delegate, he obtained 607 thousand 977 as professor at the University of Sonora.
Armando Zazueta Hernández, federal delegate in Jalisco, only reported 622 thousand pesos, this because he began to exercise this position after the businessman Carlos Lomelí Bolaños He left the post, after the indications of allegedly being part of a network of companies that sold drugs to the federal administration.
When reviewing the financial statements on the platform Declaranet until late yesterday, it was found that Amílcar Sandoval, brother of Irma Eréndira Sandoval, head of the Public Service, still did not present this obligation, despite the exhortations made by her sister and the President of the Republic that public servants comply with this obligation.

On June 26, the head of the SFP assured that 100% of the members of the federal government’s legal cabinet had fulfilled the obligation to present their patrimonial declaration and stated that the new formats implemented this year allow “to collect more and better information”, such as the detailed income of public servants to prevent corruption and ensure that they protect the general interest and not the particular benefits “as happened in the past, when was kept in total opacity”.

Irma Eréndira Sandoval pointed out that formats constitute an important step towards transparency and close spaces to opacity, as they are “true mechanisms of accountability, prevention of corruption and detection of faults such as illicit enrichment ”.
