Dawn Walker formally charged with illegally entering the United States

Saskatoon Police Deputy Chief Randy Huisman announces that Dawn Walker is facing charges in both countries as part of a criminal investigation into her disappearance.

She called on community members to be patient, pending the results of investigations.

Darlene Okemaysim-Sicotte, co-chair of Iskwewuk Ewichiwitochik in Saskatoon (Women Walking Together), a group that supports families of missing and murdered Indigenous women, agrees.

Circumstances are confusingshe said, urging people to be patient and wait for a fuller explanation.
