The vision of a flying car has existed for many years. And although a number of concepts have emerged, machines combining the characteristics of aircraft and cars have not yet made a significant impact.

Slovak designer Štefan Klein has also been working on the flying car for 30 years. He worked for him for a long time under the banner of AeroMobil, but a few years ago he left this project and threw himself into a new one.
KleinVision, which he founded with Anton Zajac for a new beginning, is developing a machine called AirCar.
Recently, the company boasted a video with a test flight, which took place at the airport in Piešťany. The test turned out well.
It wasn’t the first time AirCar had peeled off the ground, it had risen several times last year, but so far it wasn’t a real flight, but rather a test “bouncing” and “flying” at low altitudes.

The power of the developed AirCar is provided by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder from BMW, which is tuned to 140 horsepower. The company states a range of about 1000 km at a top speed of 200 km / h. The machine weighs 1100 kg and takes an additional 200 kg. Consumption should be around 18 liters per hour of flight.
A track 300 meters long is needed to detach from the ground.
How exactly the transformation from “car” to “plane” takes place is nicely shown in a video published by KleinVision. For a transformation that takes about three minutes, the driver only has to press a button.
The development prototype is a two-seater, but the manufacturer also plans a three-seater and a four-seater version in the future. It also includes a twin-engine design and a variant that could take off and land on the water surface.
And so that the AirCar can really be used like a normal car, Slovaks promise that the machine will fit in a normal parking space.
