Business observer Hakim Slimani does not expect a storm on the transfer market this summer. The big top deals will only be completed at a later stage, he says. This has to do with the corona crisis.
Since the competitions have recently resumed, clubs also do not yet know where they stand. For that reason, Slimani expects that a large part of the transfers will only be concluded later.
“Top players will make their top transfers,” Slimani tells The Parool. “The pain is probably in the middle segment and lower. Boys from clubs under Ajax, AZ and PSV. They will have to give up in terms of salary.”
Ajax attracted Antony for approximately sixteen million euros and sold Hakim Ziyech forty million to Chelsea. Slimani thinks that Ajax will survive the crisis. “Ajax has enough meat on its bones.”
