The Philadelphia 76ers are through to the Eastern Conference semifinals. On Thursday night, the team ran over the Toronto Raptors by 132-97, at the opponent’s home, and closed the first-round series at 4-2. Joel Embiid and company won the first three games, but lost the next two. and raised doubts and criticisms. All were fixed after Game 6.

One of three finalists for the regular season MVP award, Embiid scored 33 points with 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. James Harden also shone with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 15 assists. Young Tyrese Maxey had 25 points and 8 assists. After a balanced first half, the team started in the third quarter, when it made 37 to 17. Afterwards, it was just managing.

Third period – Sixers 37 to 17: Philadelphia imposed its rhythm and took no notice of the Raptors in the third quarter. There were 5 baskets from the perimeter, three of them from Maxey – who reached 25 points. On the other side, the defense limited the home team to just 17 points.
