Simplified surrender of arms to the State in Gironde

From From 25 November to 2 December 2022the Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories organizes a Simplified state arms surrender operationled by the Central Service for Arms and Explosives (SCAE).
The collection points, called “armodromes”, will be set up every day from 9:00 to 17:00 and available without an appointment, in each district of the Gironde department, at the following sites:

This operation offers subjects who illegally possess hunting weapons and ammunition two types of services:
– they can to dispose, without administrative formalities, of weapons and ammunition from the police and gendarmes present in these sites. Abandoned weapons are meant to be destroyed. Not affected by the operation: war machines, war ammunition (bullets, grenades), explosives, gunpowder, fireworks and war ammunition equal to or greater than 20 mm.
– they can get them to register and create an account in the new gun information systemsthey want to keep them. With that in mind, prefectural officers will also be present at these walk-in sites to help them register their guns in the Gun Information System (SIA) for compliance.
A home collection will also be established during and after the intervention for people with reduced mobility or without means of transport, upon request, by contacting the Prefecture by telephone on the number: 07 87 92 55 19.
This hotline will also be open to answer any questions about the transaction every day from 25 November 2022 to 2 December 2022 from 9:00 to 17:00.
