AKURAT.CO, Xiaomi has just launched the RedmiBook 15, the first laptop launched by the Chinese company in Indonesia. At first glance, this laptop from Xiaomi is similar to the MacBook from Apple, especially in terms of design. Xiaomi itself is known to often imitate the product line from Apple, and it is possible that the newly launched RedmiBook 15 is also inspired by the MacBook.
Although from the outside at first glance they look similar, of course the innards of the two laptops are different. In terms of target users, both have different markets. Xiaomi with its RedmiBook 15 is targeting middle users because this laptop is priced at an affordable price. In contrast to the MacBook which is known as a laptop for professionals.
The newly launched RedmiBook 15 comes with a minimalist design in an elegant Charcoal Gray color. The entire body of the RedmiBook 15 is made of a mixture of polycarbonate and plastic with a Dark Gray finish. There is a Redmi logo on the lid of the laptop.
The RedmiBook 15 series comes with an 11th generation Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor with a speed of 3.00GHz. Xiaomi also embeds 8 GB of RAM, an Intel Iris UHD GPU, and a 256 GB SSD in the RedmiBook 15.
RedmiBook 15 has a light weight so it is easy to carry for work or study from various corners of the room at home. RedmiBook 15 weighs less than 2 kg and is only 19.9mm thick.
Meanwhile, Apple itself has not launched its newest MacBook this year. Reportedly, Apple in the near future will introduce a new generation of MacBook Pro. Apart from the appearance and design, the performance capabilities of the RedmiBook 15 and MacBook actually cannot be compared because of different segments.
The RedmiBook 15 itself is priced at IDR 6,999,000 (256 GB). RedmiBook 15 is powered by the Windows 10 Home licensed operating system. The battery with a capacity of 46Whr has an endurance of up to 10 hours.
Meanwhile, Apple plans to announce redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with mini-LED displays. Rumors are circulating that the redesign will come with a faster Apple silicon processor.
