Xbox cancels orders after accidentally releasing a new game for free

Someone on Team Xbox must have had a tough day as an upcoming racer a few weeks ago Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers Not only was it released on the Microsoft Store way too early, it was also 100% discounted so Xbox users could pick it up completely free for a limited time.

As you can imagine, the game was quickly removed from the store within a few hours, and Microsoft has now started pulling these “orders” and removing access to the title for those who claim a 100% discount:

That said, a lot of people actually got the chance to play Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers before it launched, even if the game won’t be released before October. In fact, if you look at YouTube, there are detailed guide to success made for this, along with additional gameplay videos.

Hopefully this bug isn’t too destructive, and you never know, it might even have created a bit more buzz for the title in the weeks before it was released. But it must have been a few frantic hours!
