The Rila Monastery received an additional BGN 240,000

The largest monastery in Bulgaria – Rila – will receive BGN 240,000 from the government, the Council of Ministers announced. The money is for the maintenance for the first quarter of the year. In the summer the Rila Monastery received BGN 600,000 from the cabinet for repairs. Separately, BGN 1.3 million were provided for the construction of a treatment plant.

Municipality ordered a specific car with a questionable procurement

The Anti-Corruption Fund (ACF) alerted the Agency for State Financial Inspection (PFIA) for a dubious public procurement of Hadjidimovo Municipality for the supply of a luxury car. It was announced on December 14 last year, and the specifications are so specific that only one car meets them. It is about “Mercedes-Benz S350d L 4M AMG line facelift”, offered by “Hermes Auto Group” EOOD on its website. The company is the only one to submit an offer. Despite the media interest in the case, there is no reaction from state institutions, according to the ACF. They add that the order for such a luxury car does not correspond to the needs of Hadjidimovo Municipality, which is financially over-indebted.
