Shooting in Kiev – a man opened fire on passers-by, he was detained

In the Obolonsky district of Kiev, a young man opened fire from a window at passers-by. He called them “Ukrainians”, expressed himself with obscene language and declared that he was serving “Russia and Putin.” He was detained.

Officers of the criminal investigation department of the Obolonsky police department and patrol officers identified the shooter and came to his home. The young man told law enforcement officers that it was a “joke” and he “did not really understand what he was saying.” According to the man, he wanted “to be funny.”

According to law enforcement officers, the shooter’s name is Dmitry Donchenko, born in 1998. He comes from Donetsk.
